I am author, follower of Christ and have a heart for cross-cultural people groups. As a writer, my passion is to help others tell their stories. I have a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and a Master's in Teaching to Speakers of Other Languages. 

I thrive most when I interview the person nearby (careful if you ever sit next to me), yearning to hear the stories he or she has to tell. I believe everyone has stories to tell. And telling them will only enrich our lives. Along with working with my husband in our family business, I work at Shake Ride Press, which specializes in memoir and narrative nonfiction. 

I thrive when I have an international trip on the books and a topic to research. I live in Kansas City, MO., with my husband, two mini adult children (as I call them!) and one cranky cockatiel.
